Phoenix Tattoo progression

Pretty self-explanatory, baby! My pride and joy!

I am on a long journey recovering from childhood sexual abuse and learning to cope with PTSD. As a teen I turned my frustration on myself and made myself a scar on that there thigh. That is a day long past, but I hated looking at that thing. I put my Phoenix on top to remind myself I will always come back from whatever hell threatens to end me!

The Phoenix is blood red and is flying out of swirling pillar of ash and ghouls. I chose not to do fire, because it's about rising up again, not the burning. The ghouls are the ghosts of my woes that failed to destroy me.
